0About Jitters status line
A Claude Code status line with a pet in it. Jitters sits under your prompt all session: fresh at the start, wired after 90 minutes, groggy from 2 am, fried near a full context.
@(O_O)@ jitters wired | 133 min | ctx 41%
Install once:
uv tool install jitters-cli (or: pipx install jitters-cli)
then one line in ~/.claude/settings.json:
{ "statusLine": { "type": "command", "command": "jitters-cli statusline" } }
Already have a status line? Keep it, he sits after it: "command": "jitters-cli statusline -- ~/.claude/statusline.sh"
It reads only the JSON Claude Code pipes to a status line (session minutes, context use) and your clock. No network call, no telemetry, no dependency, about 25 ms a run. MIT.
The word jitters is a link to him drawn in that state: https://vibeoverflow.lol/week?src=clcad
How it was built with Claude
Written with Claude Code, and tested in a real Claude Code session: it reads the session JSON every status line command gets.
